Highland Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine is a local healthcare center recognized by the prestigious American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Highland Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Debra Feldott-Johnson, MD
After graduating from Mascoutah High School, Dr. Feldott majored in Biology at Saint Louis University and finished her medical education at St. Louis University Medical School.
Her outstanding academic performance as an undergraduate and a medical student made way for her to be a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
After completing her pediatric residency at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, Dr. Feldott served as a physician in the US Air Force for seven years.
As a fellow of the honorary American Academy of Pediatrics, she is also certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is an expert in her field with pediatric procedures and management for effective treatment of children of all ages. A mother of three, she is originally from the St. Louis Metro East and has been a pediatrician in the Highland area since June 2000.
Lauren Smith, CPNP
After graduation from Triad High School, Lauren received a bachelor’s degree in psychology at McKendree University and later went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her master's degree in nursing through Maryville University, becoming board-certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She began her career as a nurse practitioner at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, but her desire to treat patients in a primary care setting led her closer to home. As a mother of two, she is passionate about educating families about common childhood illnesses and providing care to her pediatric patients.
Brandy Schwierjohn - Practice Manager / RMA
Brandy started her career in 2003 as a registered medical assistant to Dr. Feldott at Highland Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. Since 2012, she has taken charge as the practice manager. For questions or concerns about the office or billing, contact Brandy on extension 3.
Melissa Mason - RMA
Melissa Mason, otherwise known as Missy, has been our telephone triage medical assistant since 2009. She also assists staff members with vaccinations and patient care. Missy can answer your questions and discuss your concerns with our providers. Contact her on extension 2.
Alison Daugherty - RMA
Alison has been a medical assistant at our office since 2014. Her job includes making children comfortable in their rooms, monitoring vitals, administering vaccines, and assisting the provider.
Amy Harris- Receptionist / RMA
Amy has been a medical assistant/receptionist in our office since 2021. She schedules appointments, checks in your child, monitors vitals, and makes sure that you consult the right person for all your questions. Speak with Amy on extension 1 to schedule appointments with sub-specialists or for prior authorizations.
Alisha Howard- CMA
Alisha has been a medical assistant at our office since 2023. Her job includes making children comfortable in their rooms, monitoring vitals, administering vaccines, and assisting the provider.
